And, surprise... the neighborhood went black. We lost our electricity! It was dark. Oh, joy! Since the hurricane I've noticed a power line poll that has been leaning a little too much--and that was the day it came down. I guess, someone hit it in their car- and ta-da! No lights. It was a flashback to the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. But, we knew we could handle it!
We had dinner by candle-light!
See, it was dark outside!
The best part was I was making cookies... and just put the eggs in the mixer. And, darkness. So, I had to pretend I lived in the old days- went into the room with candles and mixed it together with a whisk.
